Too many children are abused, sexually assaulted, or murdered by custodial mom’s new boyfriend or husband. And in many of these tragedies, the biological father is being denied visitation with the children. Visitation which could reveal the abuse. Visitation which the child could reveal what’s happening.

In my world this is called source misattribution error and it’s very common in false abuse cases whereby the system has wrongly identified the abuse perpetrator. In most cases of actual child sexual abuse and Shaken Baby Syndrome it IS the paramour or stepfather and not the biological father who is the perpatrator of abuse.
